Prisoner's Poem

i am a prisoner
sentenced for fourteen years
my parents are happy
for I stay in my cell
the jailguards torture me
physically but more mentally
i searched for my freedom
but it is nowhere to be found

almost every day
i'm in front of a judge
watching me closely
evaluating my acts
physically i'm on the brink of burning out
and my brain anytime will burst out
one more year
and in this prison i'll be out

i'm praying to God
Lord give me enough patience
for i still have a year to finish my sentence
be my light in my cell
and illuminate the darkness in my brain
help me reach my goal
not to escape in the open door
for i am a prisoner
a prisoner of school.
